On Wednesday, Govind Singh Dotasra, the head of the Congress unit in Rajasthan, expressed that public discontent towards the government has never been as intense as it is now. Thousands of Congress workers staged a march in Kota, protesting against both the central and state governments led by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).
Targeting Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Dotasra accused him of winning his first election through false promises, leveraging the military's achievements during the Balakot airstrikes for his second, and allegedly 'stealing votes' in his third election.
During the public outrage rally, which stretched from Kishore Sagar Lake to the Kota District Collectorate, Dotasra was seen riding in an open jeep alongside Dheeraj Gurjar, the national secretary of the All India Congress Committee, and party leader Prahlad Gunjal.
Numerous party activists participated, brandishing banners, placards, and flags while chanting slogans against the ruling government. The rally was organized by the Kota city and rural Congress committees.
